Frequently Asked Questions
When choosing VR experiences, we attach great importance to ensuring that the applications trigger as little “motion sickness” as possible. “Motion sickness” usually arises because the eyes see something that is not perceived by the other senses of the body. This effect is different in humans and does not occur or seldom occurs in our selected VR experiences. Unfortunately, it can not be ruled out that dizziness, cramps, blackouts, nausea, blurred vision, eye pain, lack of orientation and consciousness, headache or epileptic seizures can occasionally occur when using VR technology.
If certain health restrictions exist, we advise against the use of VR technology. These include:
People with heart failure
People with serious illnesses
People with serious mental illness
Spasms and epilepsy-susceptible
Persons who are physically and / or psychologically sensitive to fast sequences of images, fast movements or electric fields of tension
The same applies to known phobias or other problems, e.g. Fear of heights.
We always recommend to take regular breaks between the individual VR experiences.
We would like to introduce all interested parties to the widest possible range of virtual reality applications. Although we are not a classic gaming arcade, we still see games as an important area of interest for this new technology platform and have the hardware and software necessary for a versatile offering. You may also be interested in our exhibition objects in the field of Virtual Reality Game Art. Please send us a short message or just call us. Let us know when you would like to come by and what type of VR experience you are interested in.
Currently we have no regular opening hours. This will change after the official opening. At the moment, however, there is already the BETA test program for interested parties, which can only be done after making an appointment.
Normally, yes. Experience has shown that most glasses fit easily under the VR glasses. If possible, however, contact lenses are still recommended. With large glasses, the wearing comfort is often limited. For mild eyesight you often do not need your own glasses.
We use artificial leather upholstery on our VR glasses. These pads and hand controllers are disinfected after each use. As VR sometimes makes you sweat, we also provide free paper towels for every visitor.
There is no maximum age! We have already shown experiences in Virtual Reality to many people over 80.
At Virtualwelt you are meant to give VR a try. Virtualwelt is therefore aimed specifically at VR newcomers. You do not need any previous knowledge. At the same time we are of course striving to provide new experiences for “old VR-veterens”.
The headsets do not fit so well on small children’s heads. Therefore, for this reason, children under 8 will probably not be able to enjoy VR experiences. However, you are welcome to bring children of all ages. We also have a play area with games and toys for the little ones.
